Brewster, New York Adult Nutritionist, Diabetes Educater, Registered Dietitian
Hi. I’m Angela. I’m a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) located in Brewster, NY. I’m passionate about making nutrition science clear, practical, and empowering—so you can understand what the evidence says, why it matters, and how to apply it in real life.
I provide evidence-based, personalized nutrition counseling to adults with a special interest in obesity management, diabetes care, and chronic disease management. My approach helps clients build confidence around food—without restriction or fear—while developing habits that support long-term health. I believe food is powerful medicine, and I promote a science-backed, whole-foods, plant-forward approach that honors individual preferences, culture, and lifestyle. For many clients, this approach supports improvements in metabolic health, gut health, blood glucose management, lipid levels, progress toward weight-related goals, and more.
Before becoming a dietitian, I worked in customer service and retail management. After navigating my own health challenges, I felt called to change careers and pursue a path that blended my person-centered background with the healing power of food. I earned my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Pace University and became an RDN in 2021, later earning my CDCES credential though advanced education and clinical training in diabetes care.
My career has exposed me to a diverse patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including roles at Garnet Health Medical Center and Westchester Medical Center.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking my dogs, reading historical fiction, and working with my hands on small projects around the house. I’m a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), the Dietitians in Integrative & Functional Medicine (DIFM) practice group, and the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES). I stay current with the latest research to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to my local community.
